BOOTHBAY LOBSTERBOAT 30"
The Boothbay lobsterboat is a generic version of a typical 30 foot Maine Lobsterboat, a boat built in the Boothbay Harbor region of Maine, and is typical of Lobsterboats in use today. These boats were developed after World War 1, when inexpensive and reliable gasoline engines became available for use in the powered launches. With their speed, capacity and stability in rough seas, the Maine Lobsterboat soo replaced the Friendship Sloop and powerd Dory as the primary work boat of the Maine Lobstermen.
